John R. Mattox, II is a writer who began typing stories into his father's TRS 80 Color Computer as a child and hasn't stopped writing since.
He is currently employed by Corporate Executive Board as a consultant where he analyzes data and writes articles and books about learning and talent analytics.
In August 2014 he published his first book, Predictive Analytics for Human Resourceswith Jac Fitz-enz.
His favorite authors include Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Gladwell, Creighton, Cialdini, Gould, Tolkien, Conroy and anyone who can tell a good story to keep the pages turning.
Thirteen Brother Pirates: The Journey Begins started as a story for his children and grew into a novel. It continues with a sequel Thirteen Brother Pirates: Rise of the Privateers. A third novel, Thirteen Brother Pirates: Patriot's Choice is in the works. So stay tuned!
His hopes for these stories are very simple. He wants them to become favorites among young readers. He also hopes his books will encourage more reading and inspire the next generation of writers.
